Who we are
The promotion of social action through the modernization of traditional channels of social solidarity, both in rural and urban areas, and the use of international solidarity tools deployed with the perspective of Sustainable Human Development constitute the backbone of our strategy. Founded on July 25, 2004, OMASSAPE is a local development association headquartered in Tevragh Zeina, Nouakchott. It operates in Mauritania in the fields of community assistance, environment, and capacity building.
Our objectives
- Promotion of social action through the modernization of traditional solidarity channels, in rural and urban areas.
- Supervision and awareness of productive cooperatives in agriculture, livestock, and crafts.
- Initiating development projects in hydraulics, agriculture, education, and health through partnerships.
- Carrying universal access projects for basic services: water, electricity, and telecommunications.
- Combating the effects of climate change by supervising and empowering communities.
